Ecumenically Lutheran

Trinity maintains strong ties with the Methodist Theological Seminary in Ohio, and Pontifical College Josephinum, providing students with multiple opportunities to learn from other faith traditions. Trinity and MTSO, located 30 miles to the north in Delaware, Ohio, provide students the opportunity to cross-register for courses and also offer a joint Doctor of Ministrydegree.

A Visual Symbol of Suffering and Hope

Trinity is located in Bexley, Ohio, home to a vibrant Jewish community and three Jewish synagogues. In 1999, local artist Alfred Tibor completed the Promise for Life Sculpture, a 27-foot granite and bronze memorial to the Holocaust, on the Trinity campus – visible from Main Street and College Avenue. Tibor, a survivor of the Holocaust, for years has provided lectures for students and visitors on the Trinity campus. Each year Trinity also hosts the local Kristallnacht Commemoration, a lecture series and educational project of Trinity, The Columbus Jewish Federation, The Holocaust Education Committee of Central Ohio, and the Interfaith Association of Central Ohio. In addition, Trinity students have the opportunity to visit Washington D.C. and the national Holocaust Memorial in a January Term course dedicated to Jewish-Christian relations.
