About Columbus and Bexley
Columbus and Bexley: Big-city amenities and small-town charm
Trinity Lutheran Seminary is nestled in the quiet, picturesque, neighborhood of Bexley, Ohio (pop. 13,000). Mostly residential, Bexley has a charming Main Street, with restaurants, two coffee shops, three ice cream parlors, several banks, an arts cinema theatre, and a connection to the metropolitan bicycle trail system, all within easy walking distance of the seminary. Bexley is also home to one of the highest performing public school districts in Ohio.
Bexley is an inner-ring suburb of Columbus (pop. 750,000), the 16th largest city in the United States. Both Bexley and Columbus are in Franklin County (pop. 1,130,000). None of these statistics, however, paints a good picture of Columbus; a midwestern city with friendly people, reasonable costs of living, and a hundred other points of interest that will always give you something to do and see.
Capital University Library and Recreation Center
At Trinity, we believe in living a holistically healthy life. We have partnered with Capital University to give Trinity students access to a comprehensive athletic center, as well as access to a large academic library that compliments Trinity's own Hamma Library. Just across the street is Capital University, where Trinity Lutheran Seminary students have library privileges and free access to the Capital Athletic Center. The athletic center is equipped with an indoor track, cardio equipment (elliptical machines, treadmills, bicycles, and stair climbers), and a full weight room.
