Drug and Alcohol Policy

Trinity Lutheran Seminary students, staff, and faculty have formed an on-going Addiction Awareness Group. They sponsor many events during each academic year. There have been panel discussions with professionals dealing with addiction, trips to AA  and Alanon meetings, visits to Talbot Hall for lectures on addiction and co-dependency, the showing of the film about Bill W. (founder of AA), brown bag lunches with discussion topics, and a workshop with Annette Franks, an addiction counselor. There is a real effort on the part of the group to educate future church leaders about addiction, so that when they encounter those suffering with the disease, they can intervene in helpful, non-co-dependent ways.
